Chris Brown has hired a team of bodyguards after receiving death threats stemming from his Feb. 8 arrest for beating, biting and chocking then girlfriend Rihanna.
Brown is being sued because one of his bodyguards badly beat a photographer at an L.A. gym that Chris suspects was posing as paparazzi to catch him off guard and knock him off.

Brown, 20, will be in court on June 22 for a preliminary hearing on two felony charges for the alleged assault on Rihanna, who has sold 12 million records worldwide and won a Grammy for “Umbrella”.

He unsuccessfully tried to delay the hearing. He has been recording a new album in Orlando and attending the Magic’s NBA playoff games for weeks, appearing with Usher, Bow Wow, Omarion and Rihanna look-a-like Teyana Taylor on separate occasions.


Rihanna is cooperating with the prosecution and is also scheduled to appear in court on June 22.

Meanwhile, Rihanna has legal problems of her own. The 21-year-old Barbados beauty is being sued by the man who lives next door to the Hollywood Hills home that she rents. Christian Moeller filed his lawsuit Tuesday seeking unspecified damages from Rihanna and Stephen Yacobian, the actual owner, for trespassing, invasion of privacy and other claims. A few of Moeller’s complaints are that chauffeured vehichles park on his property for hours and use his driveway to back out, plus Rihanna’s security cameras point onto his property beyond his new privacy wall and tall bamboo plants. However, Moeller previously agreed with Yacobian to allow cars to pass through his yard, and he is trying to get the agreement revoked.

Rihanna and Chris Brown spent many nights in the Hollywood Hills home making up after an LAPD photo was released of her badly beaten face from the alleged assault on the night before her and her ex were to perform at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in L.A.

The singers broke up within the last couple months shortly after Rihanna agreed to cooperate with the prosecutor’s in Brown’s felony case.
Brown has been described as “totally paranoid” and he travels with at least three large bodyguards because of continued death threats from a group called the Women’s Protection Action League. Maybe, it’ll cheer him up to watch Kanye West’s new “Paranoid” video featuring Rihanna wearing lingerie while rolling around in bed.
West recently posted his “Paranoid” video on his blog.
Chris reportedly stole repeated glimpses of his ex last week when Rihanna sat on the same row during Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the L.A. Lakers and Orlando Magic.

I don’t think Teyana Taylor looks anything like Rihanna, but several other bloggers and news sites are stating that Chris Brown has found a replacement who looks like his ex.
Brown, 20, and Taylor, 18, showed up together for the L.A. Lakers’ NBA championship game at Orlando’s Amway Arena on Sunday. Although an unidentified man sat in between them, Brown and Taylor often leaned toward each other to talk during the game in which the Lakers defeated the Magic 99-86 for their 15th NBA title. But Brown and Taylor are just friends.

Taylor, a rapper/singer/dancer from Harlem, popularized the catchy “Chicken Noodle Soup” dance and she choreographed Beyonce’s video for “Ring the Alarm”. She first grabbed the national spotlight as one of the spoiled brats featured on MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16″ in 2007. Taylor’s “Google Me” video gained Internet popularity in 2008.

On Monday, Taylor ranted on Twitter that she has her own style and she’s not trying to “look like someone else. She said she looks nothing like “Umbrella” pop star Rihanna, who has sold more than 12 million albums worldwide and been nominated for nine Grammy Awards.
Taylor tweeted “if one more reporter say that I’m Rihanna, I’m gonna go crazzzzzzzzyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.”
It’s actually a compliment to look like Rihanna, but I agree Taylor doesn’t look like Rihanna.

As I wrote a couple weeks ago, electrifying singers Chris Brown and Rihanna keep moving in the same direction.
The former couple sat courtside behind the basket near the Lakers’ bench during L.A.’s 99-91 OT victory Thursday night in Game 4 of the NBA Finals at the Orlando Magic’s Amway Arena.
Brown and Rihanna arrived separately before tipoff and did not sit by each other although they both had seats behind the basket on L.A.’s side of the court.


Rapper Lil’ Wayne, reality TV star Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend New Orleans tailback Reggie Bush also sat in the section.
Brown, a Magic fan, has attended several of Orlando’s playoff games. He was spotted at Amway Arena last month with singer Usher, actor Chris Tucker and rapper Bow Wow during the Magic’s Eastern Conference Final home games against Cleveland. Brown, 20, has been in Orlando recording a new album, Graffiti.
Rihanna, 21, also is working on a new album, and she and her ex are also working on separate movie projects.
Rihanna, who has a home in L.A., flew into Orlando just in time for the game. The Barbadian pop star has been spotted in New York during the past few weeks partying with The Black Eyed Peas and suspected new beau Canadian actor/rapper Aubrey “Drake” Griffin. She was photographed leaving New York’s JFK International Airport earlier Thursday, obviously to fly to Orlando to see her Lakers play that night.

Rihanna and Chris will cross paths again later this month when they appear in an L.A. courtroom to resume Brown’s preliminary hearing on two felony charges for allegedly beating, biting and choking Rihanna the night before the Grammy Awards in L.A. in February. If convicted, Brown could be sentenced to probation or nearly five years in prison.
While at former Magic center Shaquille O’Neal’s Orlando home last month, Brown recorded a home video declaring, “I’m not a monster.”

When you’re in love, you don’t think of the “what ifs.”
Like what if, you break up and he leaks the video he convinced you to record of the two of you in bed to enjoy together as Brandy’s little brother Ray-J did when he broke up with Kim Kardashian, now dating NFL tailback Reggie Bush.
Or what if, you break up and he leaks all of the nude photos you posed for so he wouldn’t feel lonely when you are apart. That’s what pop star Rihanna suspects her ex Chris Brown of doing.
But wait, I thought Rihanna’s reps said it wasn’t her in those nude photos that caused a stir on the Internet a couple weeks ago.
But it seems that the nude photos have cost Rihanna being on the cover of Vogue magazine, so she plans on leaking unflattering nude pics of Brown to ruin the hip hop singer’s sexy image.
Rihanna really wanted to be on the cover of Vogue, but Vogue editor Anna Wintour rescinded the offer and has not returned Rihanna’s calls after viewing the leaked pics of the pop star posing nude. Rihanna hopes Wintour changes her mind, but there’s no chance if Wintour is anything like Meryl Streep’s depiction of her on Devil Wears Prada or Vanessa Williams’ version on Ugly Betty.
Days after the nude pics of Rihanna surfaced, photos were leaked of Rihanna and Chris taking turns tenderly kissing each other on the back of the neck.

Then last week, a video of Brown was leaked in which the heartthrob declared, “I’m not a monster.”
Hmmmm.
Maybe Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, leaked the photos and Brown’s video to show a softer side of Chris and to cast Rihanna in a bad light to combat the leaked LAPD photo of Rihanna’s battered face from Brown alledgely beating her on the eve of the Grammy Awards in February. Because of that leaked photo, Geragos hopes to get Brown’s two felony charges for the beating tossed.
But the nude photos of Rihanna certainly will not help Chris when she testifies at his preliminary hearing in Los Angeles on June 22.
Let this be a lesson for those of you who are in love, don’t let your lover take nude video or pictures of you because when you break up, those images of you could be made public and ruin your chances at a job you really want or a ruin your dream of running for political office.

It’s ironic how pop star Rihanna and R&B hearthrob Chris Brown have finally called it quits, but they still are headed in similar directions.
Aside from being spotted hanging out separately with friends, neither has publicly acknowledged what happened on the infamous night before the Grammy Awards in February that led to Brown being charged with two felonies for beating up Rihanna.
Rihanna, who has sold 12 million copies worldwide of her Good Girl Gone Bad album, has postponed her popular world tour, and she and her electrifying ex haven’t performed publicly since the incident.
But recently Rihanna and Chris have made highly-publicized videos. Brown made a home video that was leaked on YouTube declaring “he’s not a monster” and thanking his real fans for supporting him.
Now, Rihanna has made her first public performance since the Grammy incident as a vixen in Kanye West’s new “Paranoid” video. The uncut video, which has not been released, features Rihanna tossing and turning on a bed in lingerie and striking sexy poses for the camera.

Rihanna and Chris are each working on new albums, and Rihanna’s new song “Silly Boy” featuring latest pop sensation Lady Gaga is speculated to be about Chris. Some of the lyrics are:
“I said I’m not coming back. You fooled me once but you can’t have that ego turning.
Just too bad for you, that when you had me. Didn’t know what to do, she’s over you.
’Cause you had a good girl, good girl, girl. That’s a keeper. You had a good girl, good girl but didn’t know how to treat her.
So silly boy get out my face. Why do you like the way regrets taste?”

Also, Rihanna is taking acting lessons for her movie debut in Personal Protection while Chris is set to appear in his third film, which is untitled but expected to be a tearjerker.
And of course, the former lovers will appear in the same courtroom on June 22 when Brown’s hearing continues for allegedly assaulting Rihanna.
When will the sexy exes be able to go their separate ways?

Chris Brown is obviously not worried about his preliminary hearing Thursday for his two felony charges in the alleged assault of his former pop star girlfriend Rihanna.
In the last few days leading up to the hearing, he’s been caught singing, b-balling and youTubing.
Between breaks recording his new album Graffiti in Orlando with a single due out this summer, Brown has been spotted courtside during two of the Magic’s Eastern Conference Final games against Cleveland. He sat with Usher, Chris Tucker and Dwyane Wade to witness Orlando’s 99-89 victory on Sunday, and then Tuesday, he sat with his rapper best friend Bow Wow for the Magic’s 116-114 OT win to take a 3-1 series lead over LeBron James’ Cavs.
Brown also has been videotaped playing 2-on-2 pickup ball with Bow Wow, Tucker and Shaq on the indoor court at the former Magic, Lakers and Heat center’s Orlando home.
And Brown posted a YouTube video announcing his new album, his love for his real fans and he declared, “I’m not a monster.” Bow Wow chimed in “Believe that.”

A judge and jury will decide whether Brown is a “monster.” But Brown’s not worried about it. He will continue to hang loose in Orlando while his lawyer appears in court Thursday and tries to get the case thrown out.

The Lakers aren’t the only NBA team that attracts celebrities.
Stars came out in droves Sunday for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals featuring the Magic and Cavaliers in Orlando’s Amway Arena.
Tiger Woods showed up on Amway’s Jumbotron early in the game. Then, right after halftime, Grammy Award winning R&B singer Usher walked to his courtside seat across from the Magic’s team bench. A minute and a half later, hip hop heartthrob-turned-bad boy Chris Brown was escorted to a spot two seats away from Usher followed closely behind by Rush Hour funnyman Chris Tucker and Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade and a couple friends to fill in the rest of the instant celebrity row. Utah forward Carlos Boozer was already seated earlier in the game and was a section over from the bunch under the basket near the Magic’s bench. Across the floor, Grammy Award winning rapper Lil’ Wayne sat with a female friend underneath the basket near Cleveland’s bench. The crowd gave loud ovations for Boozer, Lil’ Wayne, Woods and Usher when their faces appeared on Amway’s Jumbotron. Beyonce and Jay-Z, my favorite and my teen son’s favorite artists respectively, were rumored to be in the arena, but we didn’t spot them.
Usher, who also sat courtside two days earlier to witness LeBron James’ buzzer-beating game winner in Cleveland, switched seats with one of two guys in between him and Chris, and the throwback Michael Jackson singers chatted shoulder-to-shoulder through most of the third quarter and almost the entire fourth quarter. Since Usher is part owner of the Cavs, I wonder if he got the tickets for Brown, Tucker and Wade? And what were Usher and Chris talking about? Maybe Usher was apologizing for saying the younger singer needed to show more remorse instead of being photographed jet-skiing in Miami Beach in February shortly after being arrested for assaulting his pop star ex-girlfriend Rihanna and a photo leak of her battered face. And why was Usher wearing dark black sunglasses after 10 p.m. on a rainy night?
Usher left in the final 36 seconds with his Cavs down by eight and Cleveland starters Anderson Varejao and Zydrunas Ilgauskas fouled out of the game. Then, Chris Tucker slid over to talk to Brown, and when the final buzzer sounded, they shook hands and walked across the court with Boozer and Wade to exit through the VIP Entrance.
The Magic-Cavs game was Brown’s first public appearance since the jet-skiing photos. He privately celebrated his 20th birthday earlier this month and has been in seclusion for the last three months with the exception of courtroom appearances for the felony charges involving his then-girlfriend Rihanna. Brown’s preliminary hearing is in three days, but he is not expected to appear in court, and his attorney is trying to get the case tossed because of the leaked LAPD photos of Rihanna. But of course, Brown managed to appear on the Magic’s court Sunday in a black hoodie and blue jeans to see Orlando take a 2-1 series lead over Cleveland in the Magic’s first East Finals in 13 years.

Hopefully, Rihanna has finally ditched on-and-off boyfriend Chris Brown, who allegedly bashed in her pretty face the night before they were to perform at the 51st Annual Grammy Awards in February.
Rihanna continued to secretly meet with Brown after he received two felony charges for the beating and even took a vacation with him at Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mansion on Miami’s Star Island.
Rihanna fans and even Oprah have made pleas for the Barbados-born pop star to ditch Chris, and it appears that she finally has listened.
On Monday night, Rihanna, 21, was spotted cuddling and stealing kisses with Canadian rapper/actor Aubrey “Drake” Graham while the pair hung out with 10 friends at New York bowling alley Lucky Strike Lanes & Lounge. Rihanna and Graham left together around midnight. Graham, 22, is best known for playing Jimmy Brooks, a wheelchair-bound character on The N’s Degrassi: The Next Generation. He performs as a rapper under the name Drake and is a Cash Money label mate with Lil’ Wayne. Drake’s style is described to be similar to Will Smith’s The Fresh Prince rapper alter ego.
Meanwhile, Rihanna’s ex has been low-key and had a quiet 20th birthday earlier this month while he awaits a May 28 preliminary hearing on two felony charges of assault and making criminal threats against then-girlfriend Robin Rihanna Fenty. Brown has pleaded not guilty, and his lawyer Mark Geragos is working to get the case dismissed by finding proof that an LAPD employee leaked a picture of Rihanna’s battered face to the press.
Even if Brown does get off, at least Rihanna won’t be around to catch any more of his blows because she’s found a new beau.
