After growing up on the stage under the thumb of a domineering father, Beyonce relates a lot to Michael Jackson, and she admits that she studied the recently deceased King of Pop and he has been her inspiration.

She wears a shiny glove like MJ’s signature glittery glove when she performs her hit “Single Ladies”, and off stage she sometimes dons his trademark oversized shades and glittery military jackets like the late “Beat It” singer often wore.

The seven-time Grammy Award winning singer used her “I am….. Sasha Fierce” concert platform to pay homage to Michael Jackson, who won 13 Grammys and sold nearly a billion records in his musical career.
During her appearance in Philadelphia on Friday night, Beyonce instructed her fans to chant “Thank You, Michael” and “I love you, Michael” as she sang “I Can’t Help It” from MJ’s first solo album, Off the Wall, which he recorded and sold nine million copies two years before Beyonce’s birth.
Beyonce, 27, will perform another song in honor of Michael Jackson, who died at the age of 50 of cardiac arrrest, at the BET Awards on Sunday night.
