Before the whole Rihanna domestic violence incident, hip hop singer Chris Brown’s star was heading out of the galaxy and he had begun work on the movie Takers that finally hit theatres last Friday.
Chris’ career should be back on the rise with the rave reviews from his daring performance as part of an all-star cast in Takers that debuted at No. 2 in the movie box office. He also is enjoying success from his new mix tape, which includes hit song “Deuces”.
Despite he and rapper T.I. being among the producers for Takers, Chris Brown took plenty of risks by doing “96 percent” of his stunts. He says he’s a “risk taker”.

Chris Brown, who dances as smooth as late King of Pop Michael Jackson, looked like a bonafide superhero in the mold of Spiderman. His Takers stunts included jumping from buildings, running around moving cars, being hit by a bus, jumping over cars, flipping over a fence, rolling on concrete and dodging gunfire.
Chris Brown would make a great Spiderman.
Tobey Maguire isn’t being brought back for the fourth Spiderman movie. Actor Andrew Garfield will portray Spiderman when the newest installment comes out in July 2012.
It’s not too late to slide Chris Brown in as Spiderman before filming begins in December, but it’s doubtful. Before Garfield was announced as Tobey’s replacement, there was cyber debate about whether a black guy should portray Spiderman.
Stan Lee, creator of Spiderman, Ironman, Fantastic Four and many other superhero comics, has said it would be “confusing” to cast a black man as Spiderman.
I say give Chris Brown a shot and watch him give a smooth Spiderman performance. If not Spiderman, give him a chance to be the Black Panther, the first mainstream black superhero and another Stan Lee creation.By Teneshia LaFaye

People have speculated that Chris Brown and Rihanna are reuniting because Rihanna called her abusive ex-boyfriend to console him and commend him for his outstanding Michael Jackson tribute at the recent BET Awards that ended in tears when Chris couldn’t bare to sing the deceased King of Pop’s “Man In the Mirror”.
Rihanna and Chris certainly looked cute together and would make beautiful music. During their three-year romance, he wrote her a hit song, “Disturbia”, which describes his state of mind when he snapped and battered Rihanna the night before the Grammys in February 2009.

Rihanna’s rep confirmed that Rihanna and Chris have talked by phone, but the pair isn’t reuniting. A judge still has a 1,000-feet restraining order that demands Chris, who also takes court-mandating domestic violence classes, keeps his distance from Rihanna. She has moved on with Los Angeles Dodgers slugger Matt Kemp.
It’s speculated that the “Run It” singer would rush back to Rihanna if she would have him.
But I think it’s over for the two singers. Their latest songs are very appropriate for the situation. Chris has a top 3 video on BET’s 106& Park for his mix tape song, “Deuces”, in which he says “bye-bye” to drama from a girlfriend and is moving on.
Video Debut Chris Brown ft. Tyga & Kevin McCall – ‘DEUCES’ from Gloob Marketing on Vimeo.
Meanwhile, Rihanna recently released a string of breakup songs, such as “Cold Case Love” and “Love the Way You Lie” with rapper Eminem.

It was billed as a “surprise performance”; the Michael Jackson tribute people never got to see.
So as the man behind the curtain moved like the King of Pop and he pranced from behind the curtain down the stairs dressed like Mike in the video for “The Way You Make Me Feel”, it was as if MJ had come back from the dead to perform at the 10th Annual BET Awards on Sunday.
But it was Chris Brown, who was considered the heir apparent to Michael Jackson before he was exiled for beating his former girlfriend Rihanna in February 2009.
Chris Brown may have brought his career out of the doldrums Sunday after his on-point dancing tribute to the King of Pop, who died a year ago from a doctor-induced prescription drug overdose. Chris displayed Mike’s fancy, electric footwork, timely crouch grabs and thrusts as he sang “The Way You Make Me Feel” and danced to “Remember the Time”. He also repeated his crowd-pleasing “Billie Jean” routine from the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards that included MJ’s signature moonwalk and sidestepping.
It was the truly the MJ tribute fans had anticipated during BET’s original tribute to the King of Pop, days after his death on June 25 of last year. But Chris was pulled from last year’s show after hip hop king Jay-Z protested in support of his protege Rihanna.
That was just the beginning. Radio stations refused to play Chris’ music, he lost his Doublemint Gum and Milk endorsements and recently British authorities denied him a travel VISA to extend his tour to Great Britain.
But Chris’ BET performance on Sunday may have brought his career back from the dead.
After his dance tribute to MJ, Chris endeared himself to the crowd and TV viewers when he got too choked up to sing Mike’s “Man in the Mirror”, and he fought back tears throughout the song, even dropping to his knees as he reverenced the deceased pop king. But the crowd cheered him on and gave him a standing ovation as he moped off the stage.
Later in the show, Chris received BET’s AOL Fandemonium Award for having the biggest fan support, including text voting, video views, Twitter posts and photo uploads. He thanked his fans and promised to never let them down again, alluding to the Rihanna incident that cost his meteoric career to fall and led to probation and cleaning up trash on the side of the road. Ironically, the next BET
award, Viewer’s Choice, went to Rihanna and Young Jeezy for their song, “Hard”.
Chris deserves a second chance. Rihanna has moved on with her life with a successful world tour and a hot new boyfriend. And Chris has underdone court-ordered domestic violence classes and has shown remorse through recorded video and live televised apologies and now his second live televised performance since being exiled. The first was at the live televised “SOS: Help for Haiti” fundraiser when fans blew Chris kisses and shrieked throughout his performance.
In his song “Say Goodbye”, Chris sings “there’s never a right time to say goodbye, but we know that we gotta go out separate ways.” This is certainly the right time to separate the Rihanna incident from Chris’ career and say goodbye to his past to look forward to his renewed career. We all make mistakes and wish to be forgiven and Chris has earned the right to a fresh start.By Teneshia LaFaye

The law went easy on Chris Brown for beating the crap out of Rihanna when they were dating last February. All he got was community service and probation.
But Chris is being hit much harder where he earns a living.
Radio stations don’t play his songs, and he has begged his fans to lobby for him. Now, he has been denied a travel VISA into the UK for his British tour. Meanwhile, Rihanna just wrapped up the UK leg of her successful tour, “Last Girl on Earth” and is back in the states to perform throughout the U.S.

I think Chris has learned his lesson and should stop being treated like a felon. UK authorities said Chris’ VISA was denied because he’s “guilty of a serious criminal offense” and therefore is a “danger to public safety”.
What a joke? Give Chris a break. He’s suffered enough. Rihanna is much stronger and making much better music. She has moved on to promote her new album, Rated R, and is definitely back on top to rebound from the humiliation at the hands of Chris that left her battered and forced her to cancel her 2009 UK tour for her previous album, Good Girl Gone Bad.
It’s kind of ironic because Chris and Rihanna shared a world tour in 2008 to spend as much
time together as possible. Here is a video of them singing a twist to Rihanna’s Grammy Award winning song, “Umbrella”.

We know that everyone deserves a second chance, and it appears that Chris Brown’s female fans have forgiven him for beating the crap out of his former girlfriend Rihanna a year ago.
Girls and young women blew kisses at the sexy singer and screamed continuously as Chris sang “Crawl” from his new album, Graffiti, and “With You” from his previous album during the SOS: Help for Haiti concert in Miami. The concert was televised live on MTV, BET and VH-1 to raise money for Haiti, where massive earthquakes left 100,000 dead and millions homeless.
The screaming started before he even sang and the noise was so loud that Chris pulled out his ear pieces before beginning his first song.
Before performing, Chris wore a cool “Don’t Hate on Haiti” T-shirt while he mingled with other celebrities in attendance, such as Brian McKnight and L.L. Cool J.

Rihanna’s good girl image has definitely gone bad.
She hoped to set an example for young women in violent relationships by leaving Chris Brown and telling her account of her abuse at the hands of the R&B singer earlier this year.
But domestic violence is the only area Rihanna, whose new album is appropriately titled Rated R, expects to be a role model.

In a recent interview with New York City radio host Angie Martinez, Rihanna opened up about her fascination with grabbing other women’s boobs, flirting and dancing with girls at clubs, getting wasted and of course Chris Brown and the old rumors of getting between Jay-Z and Beyonce.

Rihanna also addressed speculation that she is part of the Illuminati, an underground group of the world elite who worship the devil and attempt to control the world.
Rihanna just sounds like many other 21-year-old women, only her actions are under the microscope because she is a celebrity and is considered a role model to young girls, whether she likes it or not.

New York City gym teacher Brad Ferro has been vilified for being caught on tape delivering a single knock-out punch to one of the women in a bar on MTV reality show Jersey Shore.
But imagine if singer Chris Brown’s beating of his pop star ex Rihanna had been caught on tape. Brown delivered multiple punches, bit and threatened to kill Rihanna last February.
Chris’ career took a dive this year while he faced trial on two felony charges for the incident, and now he’s trying to bounce back with his newly released album, Graffiti, which is No. 2 on Itunes, with popular songs “Transform Ya” and “Crawl”.
However, some stores are refusing to stock his new album that was released Tuesday, and Chris recently went on a profanity-filled Twitter tirade to prove that he hasn’t changed much from the man who abused Rihanna. But after several days of rants, Chris has canceled his Twitter account.
But Brad deserves a break from all of the backlash.
After all, Chris was not drunk and was well aware of his actions, and Brad was clearly drunk when he slugged Nicole Polizzi during their barroom dispute in August. He has been fined $500 for pleading guilty to simple assault and taking anger management classes, like Brown. His former North Queens High students are defending him, and he is using his brief error in judgment to warn students of the consequences of consuming alcohol.
Hopefully, Chris finally learns from his own temper tantrums and decides to become a role model for young men.By Teneshia LaFaye

Rihanna has kept silent about the domestic violence attack that left her bitten and battered at the hands of her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in February.

She even kept quiet while Chris sent out an “I’m not a monster” youTube video in June, released an apology video in July and then appeared on Larry King Live in September to talk about the incident.
Finally as the year draws to a close and with a new album out, Rihanna has decided to break her silence on Good Morning America.

During the interview with Diane Sawyer that has aired in pieces Thursday and Friday, Rihanna expressed embarrassment for dating Brown and going back to him even after a gruesome leaked LAPD photo of her bloody, battered face. She said she realized that she risked the lives of young girls who admired her and may have decided to stay with their abusive boyfriends because of the pop star’s example. After Sawyer said it normally takes a woman seven attempts to leave an abusive relationship, Rihanna said it took her 8 or 9 attempts to leave Chris Brown.
Rihanna’s full Good Morning America interview airs on ABC’s 20/20 at 10 p.m. Friday. But before that, Chris Brown, who has given several radio interviews, will have his MTV interview aired at 6 p.m.
Brown’s new album, Graffiti, is scheduled to be released in December. Rihanna’s album, Rated R, is set to be released later this month. So the two hitmakers will likely continue to battle it out on record charts.By Teneshia LaFaye

I taught Shakespeare during my brief time as a high school English teacher, and I don’t recall Romeo beating Juliet or being put on probation for the crime.
Yet on a Larry King Live interview that aired Wednesday, hip hop singer Chris Brown described his former relationship with pop singer Rihanna as being like Romeo and Juliet because the media, including Oprah Winfrey, and some celebrities, such as Jay-Z and Kanye West, wanted the hot couple to break up after the singers canceled their Grammy Awards appearances when Chris was arrested on two felony charges for an altercation with Rihanna on the night before.

Chris recently received a plea deal that includes five years probation, six months of hard community labor and a year of domestic violence counseling. He also was ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from Rihanna for the next five years unless they’re at a music industry event.
But Chris revealed on Larry King that he never fell out of love with Rihanna.
Chris also had an interview with People magazine. He said he has apologized to Rihanna numerous times, and he gave her a copy of his “Changed Man” song that he wrote for her shortly after being arrested for beating, biting and threatening her. Listen to the “>song .
Chris also told People mag that he felt betrayed by Oprah, who aired a special on domestic violence dedicated to the Rihannas of the world shortly after the incident in March. The “Forever” singer performed at Oprah’s girls school in Africa and felt she gave him a slap in the face with the domestic violence show rather than try to give him and Rihanna. On the show, Oprah insisted that Rihanna should leave Chris before she suffers further harm.
Chris admitted to People and on Larry King that it’s hard to be court-ordered to stay away from the woman he never stopped loving.

But Chris knows he has to keep his distance from his ex, and he looks forward to a friendship although from a distance.
At least Chris gets to talk to Rihanna when she answers his calls and observe her getting her life back together. Romeo and Juliet had a much unhappier ending.By Teneshia LaFaye

Poor, Chris Brown. He admits to fighting depression ever since being arrested on two felony charges for beating his ex, pop star Rihanna, last February.
But L.A. Superior Court judge Patricia Schnegg showed no leniency when the “Forever” singer appeared in her courtroom on Tuesday. She sentenced him to six months of hard physical labor instead of community service, which would have allowed the 20-year-old hip hop star to mentor youth.
And Judge Schnegg expressed displeasure in news reports that Chris violated a stay-away order by being in the same circles as Rihanna, such as the NBA playoffs, a Trump hotel in N.Y. and restaurants on Broadway in Times Square.
So she reinforced an order that Chris stay at least 1,000 yards away from his ex for the next five years unless they are at a music industry event in which Chris can be within 10 yards of her.

During Tuesday’s hearing, it was revealed that Chris and Rihanna had two previous violent encounters before the February incident on the night before the Grammy Awards in L.A. Three months prior while traveling in Europe, Rihanna slapped Chris and he shoved her into a wall. Then in Rihanna’s native Barbados, Chris broke the windows out of a Range Rover they had rented. The incidents weren’t reported until the trial.
Taking into account Chris’ past violent incidents, the judge also ordered him to undergo a year of domestic violence counseling.
If he successfully follows through with his sentencing, Chris’ two felonies will be reduced to misdemeanors. But if he violates any of the orders, the judge said he will be sent to prison.
I’m hoping Chris fulfills the conditions of his probation and gets his depression and anger under control because he has so much talent that he could rebound into a shining example for young men.By Teneshia LaFaye
