Why 2 in 3 Americans are so fat

I was just in the drive-thru of Burger King, where I eat only twice a year because I prefer Krystal’s and Wendy’s.
Anyways, the cashier pressed me on whether I wanted to make my combo drink into a medium or a large. I opted for the small drink that comes with the combo, and the small cup is the size that the large used to be when I was a child.
This is an example of why Americans are so fat. What used to be a large drink at Burger King is now considered small. Drink refills are commonplace, unlike more than two decades ago, when you had to buy another drink if you were still thirsty.
The larger drink cups and refills makes the calories stack up and it’s causing our waist lines to expand and explode to obesity. Two out of three Americans are obese. Being fat is the norm, but if you want to be in the healthy minority, you should drink less soda. If you drink two 20 oz bottles of soda each week, that’s at least 3,500 calories, which is also how many calories weight loss experts say a person needs to burn to lose a pound.
So you’re working against your weight loss goals if you’re burning 3,500 calories per week through cardio exercises, and you also drink soda throughout the week to add the calories back.
And since fast food restaurants are making it easier to drink sodas excessively, it’s up to you to make more responsible decisions. So try skipping the refill sometimes or just re-fill your cup half way. Also, try eating a kid’s meal and don’t upsize your combo.
