Rihanna gets her birthday wish: Chris Brown

All Mariah Carey wanted for Christmas is her lover, and Rihanna has been pining to reunite with her ex Chris Brown.
The Barbados-born singer got her wish. Brown showed up to her 24rd birthday bash and the exes spend most of the night together, holding hands.
But Rihanna may want to be careful what she wishes for. She broke up with Chris after her birthday in February 2009 because she was pressured by other celebrities, including Oprah and Jay-Z, to leave Brown after he beat, bit and choked her on the eve of the Grammy Awards. Here is the disturbing blow-by-blow (pardon the pun).
Brown avoided jail time by pleading guilty to felony assault, but he was sentenced to probation, community service and classes for domestic violence and anger management, plus a restraining order mandated Brown stay at least 50 yards away from Rihanna. Brown completed his classes and is halfway through with community service. The restraining order recently was lifted by a judge.
Chris has said he never stopped loving Rihanna. So now they are free to date again if they so choose. For now, they are trying to keep things quiet. Brown tried to get Rihanna’s birthday guests to sign confidentiality agreements before he entered her party, but to no avail. I hope this time around the star couple’s relationship has a happy union or an amicable split.
Meanwhile, Chris and Rihanna are featured in remixes of each other’s songs.
