Whitney Houston, 48, has won six Grammy’s in her lifetime and is the most awarded female of all time, according to Guinness World Records. The legendary singer once had a net worth of $80 million, which she accumulated from appearing in movies, recording albums, and producing movies. And now her fortune is gone!

Sources close to the singer revealed to Radar Online that she is “broke as a joke”.

“Whitney’s fortune is gone,” the source said. “Music industry heavy hitters are supporting her and her label is fronting her cash against her next album. No one knows when that will be released, however. It’s gotten really bad. She might be homeless if not for people saving her.”

Apparently things have gotten so bad for Whitney that she had to borrow a very small sum of cash from a friend just to get by.

“She recently called someone to ask for $100,” the source revealed. “It is so sad. She should have Mariah Carey money, and she’s flat broke.”

If these reports are true, this is truly sad. There is no reason why someone with so much star power can not make a living. Whitney Houston could put her name on anything and chances are it would sell. If all else fails, she could always travel over seas and make money touring or appearing as a judge on singing competition.
