Keeps getting worse for Christina Aguilera, fallen star deserves break from constant ridicule
If you think you have problems, imagine falling flat on your face in front of an international audience and having your dirty laundry spread out for everybody to see — every week.
Grammy Award winning singer Christina Aguilera has been dealing with media ridicule since before her National Anthem snafu at the Super Bowl last month and the weeks since.
Things just keep getting worse for the “Keeps Gettin’ Better” entertainer.
In the course of the last 12 months, she has canceled her U.S. tour after lagging ticket sales and poor sales of her album Bionic, she has gone through a divorce from the father of her only child, and she faced bad reviews for her movie debut in Burlesque.
In the weeks since forgetting the words to “The Star Spangled Banner” in February, she has been arrested for public intoxication and now she is facing a lawsuit for Grammy Award-winning hit song “Ain’t No Other Man”.
And there’s no telling what the 30-year-old diva’s financial situation is considering Lady Gaga and Carrie Underwood have stripped her fan base and her teen rival Britney Spears is clinging to her pop queen mantle.
So Christina deserves a break from media backlash and public ridicule.
You would want the same respect if you lost your partner in life, experienced failure in your career and kept embarrassing yourself in front of millions. Just because Christina is a rich celebrity doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve privacy while she figures out how to re-ignite her career while being a stable parent and a good U.S. citizen.
