Living in New York City with Brooklyn-bred rapper husband Jay-Z, Beyonce really has no real need for a car. So she just obtained her driver’s license for the first time even though she turns 30 years old next year.
But “texting while driving” must not have been in the DMV handbook because Beyonce was ticketed for the offense by a NYC cop who didn’t recognize the 16-time Grammy Award winning singer and actress.
But unlike most drivers who receive traffic citations, Beyonce can easily afford to pay her $100 fine. She is No. 1 among the 12 Best Paid Celebrities under age 30 by Forbes magazine for the second consecutive year. She raked in $87 million between June 2008 to June 2009.
